Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we handles personal data in the FireCrew Holidays app ("the app"), a private tool used by our firefighter crew to register holidays and view daily duty cover. We are the data controller.
1. What we collect
When you sign in with Facebook Login, Facebook provides us with the following from your public profile:
- Your Facebook app-scoped user ID (an identifier unique to this app)
- Your display name
- Your profile picture URL
The app requests only the public_profile permission. We do
not receive your email, friends list, posts, or any other
Facebook data, and we never receive your Facebook password.
Within the app you also create:
- Holiday entries you register (dates and an optional note)
We store a session cookie (fh_session) in your browser to
keep you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the app to function.
2. Why we use it and legal basis
We use this data solely to:
- Identify you to the crew (name and picture)
- Let you register holidays and let the crew see daily duty cover
- Let an administrator approve or revoke access
The legal basis is our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in organising the crew's duty and holiday schedule, and your consent given when you choose to sign in.
3. Who can see it
Your name, picture, and holiday entries are visible to other approved crew members and administrators within the app. We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising.
4. Processors we rely on
- Meta Platforms (Facebook Login) — authenticates your sign-in. See Facebook's own Data Policy.
- Cloudflare — hosts the app and stores data in a Cloudflare D1 database, on our behalf.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data while you are a crew member with access to the app. Login sessions expire automatically after 30 days. When your access is revoked or your account is deleted, your profile data, sessions, and holiday entries are removed.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us (see below). You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
7. How to delete your data
To delete your data from FireCrew Holidays:
- Ask an administrator to revoke and remove your account, or
- Email us at angelo.a.nicolosi@falck.com requesting deletion.
Removing your account deletes your profile, all your holiday entries, and your login sessions from our database. You can also remove the app's access to your Facebook account at any time in your Facebook settings under Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites.
8. Children
The app is intended for adult members of the firefighter crew and is not directed at children under 16.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
